Kushinagar: The Dhadha sugar mill of Avadh Sugar and Energy Limited is set to begin its sugarcane crushing operations in the second week of November, according to R.K. Gupta, Executive President of New India Sugar Mill. He said that all necessary preparations for the upcoming crushing season have been completed, reports Live Hindustan.
Gupta urged farmers in the mill’s command area not to sell their sugarcane at low prices to kolhus or crushers, assuring them that the mill management is fully committed to protecting farmers’ interests. He also announced that payments for sugarcane will be made within a week of supply.
Highlighting the year-long effort farmers put into cultivating their crops, Gupta appealed to them to avoid distress sales and assured that the mill will prioritize cane procurement at its gate to ensure smooth operations and fair returns for growers.
