ESY 2025-26: Gulshan Polyols secures Rs 1184.86 crore ethanol supply order from OMCs

Gulshan Polyols Limited has been awarded a contract worth around Rs 1184.86 crore for supplying 175652 kiloliters of ethanol to oil marketing companies(OMCs) – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).

According to an exchange filing, company said, “Gulshan Polyols Limited had participated in a tender {(Tender Ref. No. 1000423858 (C1), (E Tender No. 17893) floated by OMCs under EBPP for Ethanol Supply Year (ESY 25-26) at their various locations across the country and the company has been allocated with a quantity of 175652 Kiloliters of ethanol having an estimated order value of Rs 11,84,86,56,380/- for (ESY 25-26).”

In another filing, the company has informed that it has received a Production Linked Fiscal Assistance (PLFA) of Rs. 5.3754 crore for financial year 2023-24 from MP Industrial Development Corporation Limited (MPIDC) as per the scheme.

The OMCs have allocated around 1048 crore liters of ethanol against 1776 crore liters of offers submitted by manufacturers across the country for Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2025-26 – Cycle 1. OMCs had invited tenders for the supply of 1050 crore liters of ethanol for ESY 2025-26.

In the given allocation, maize holds the largest share at 45.68 percent (around 478.9 crore liters), followed by FCI rice at 22.25 percent (around 233.3 crore litres), sugarcane juice at 15.82 percent (around 165.9 crore liters), B Heavy Molasses at 10.54 percent (around 110.5 crore liters), damaged food grains at 4.54 percent (around 47.6 crore liters), and C Heavy Molasses at 1.16 percent (around 12.2 crore liters).

During the ongoing ESY 2024–25, OMCs have received a total of 904.84 crore litres of ethanol from November to September. The total contracted quantity was 1131.70 crore litres. Of this, 598.14 crore litres of ethanol have been sourced from grains, while sugar-based feedstocks have contributed 306.70 crore litres.
