Rice and maize are essential crops in India, contributing significantly to both national food security and the countryтАЩs economy. India is a leading player in the global rice market and a major producer of maize, which supports various sectors.
Maize is one of the major crops in India providing food, feed, and fodder for livestock, and serving as a source of raw materials for a variety of industrial products, including starch, corn oil, corn syrup, alcoholic beverages, cosmetics, biofuels, and more. Maize is also a key feedstock for ethanol production in India, and the industry expects its usage to increase to meet the growing demand for biofuels.
Balram Singh Yadav, Managing Director of GAVL, commented on the partnership, saying, тАЬThe increasing pest challenges due to changing climatic conditions make it essential to equip Indian farmers with sustainable, innovative technologies that boost productivity. Our collaboration with Provivi combines their expertise with our distribution network, ensuring we provide effective support to farmers at the right time.тАЭ
Rajavelu NK, CEO of GAVLтАЩs Crop Protection Business, highlighted the ongoing threat of Yellow Stem Borer and Fall Armyworm to rice and maize crops, which drive up production costs for farmers.
