In a decisive step toward the implementation of the promises made during Advantage Assam 2.0, the Government of Assam, has taken a series of proactive measures to accelerate and expedite the state’s industrial scenario, forging transformational advancement in the offing, an official statement said.
As part of this commitment, a significant event was held yesterday at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium in Guwahati, where the state government formally conducted land allocation and MoU exchange ceremonies with major investors.
During the MoU signing ceremony, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted that Rs. 22,900 crore worth of 20 projects, initiated during #AdvantageAssam2.0, have now reached the execution stage. The signed MoUs include key projects in waste management, Tata Gateway, solar power production and ethanol production, marking significant progress in Assam’s industrial landscape.

Referring to a memorandum of understanding signed with Matheson Hydrogen, he added that agreements have also been finalised with three ethanol production companies. He stated that significant progress has been made in projects undertaken by Kamakhya Biofuels, Gulshan Polyols, Aadhar Green, and Cis Biotech. Additionally, he said that the Brahmaputra Breweries project in Tihu has also made considerable headway.
It may be mentioned here that during the Advantage Assam 2.0, the Assam Government had signed MoUs worth over Rs. 5 lakh crore with domestic as well as foreign companies. The Chief minister also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP led government at the centre for the success of Advantage Assam 2.0 and said that the summit has played the catalyst role in accelerating the state’s industrial scenario.
