ICE August white sugar delivery seen at 102,000 tons: Traders

Deliveries of refined sugar for the expiration of the August contract at the ICE London exchange reached 2,040 lots, equivalent to around 102,000 metric tons, based on preliminary reports from sugar traders on Wednesday.

French commodities trader Sucden was said to be the sole receiver of the sugar, while sugar producer Tereos and trader Louis Dreyfus were said to be the deliverers. Ports of loading were said to be in Brazil and Thailand.

The exchange is expected to release official data for the operation on Thursday.
