A total of 260,750 metric tons of white sugar was tendered for the October contract on ICE Futures Europe, according to exchange data released on Tuesday.
The October contract expired on Monday. The tendered amounts included 200,000 tons from the United Arab Emirates, 36,950 tons from India, 18,800 tons from Thailand, and 5,000 tons from China.
Macquarie Bank Ltd. purchased 145,750 tons, Marex Financial acquired 112,850 tons, and Louis Dreyfus Company Suisse bought 2,150 tons.
The sellers were ADM Investor Services (150,000 tons), Marex Financial (54,000 tons), StoneX Financial Ltd (32,950 tons) and Sucden Financial (23,800 tons).
