Nava Limited is implementing an integrated sugar project, Kawambwa Sugar, in Zambia under an intra group EPC structure, the company said in an exchange filing. The project is progressing as planned and is scheduled for commissioning by April 2028.
The company added that orders for all major packages have been placed, including the relocation of its 20 MW cogeneration plant from Dharmavaram. Sugarcane plantation is on track, and the project remains on schedule for commissioning by April 2028.
According to the company’s website, Kawambwa Sugar Limited (KSL), is its step-down subsidiary. The company is planning to develop a 4000-hectare sugar cane plantation in Kawambwa, Zambia. This integrated, greenfield project promises innovation and growth, featuring a state-of-the-art sugar plant, co-gen of power, and the production of ENA and ethanol.
