Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh): A week-long training programme on “Future Trends in Efficient and Sustainable Sugar Production” began on Friday for professionals from PT LPP Agro Nusantara of Indonesia. The programme is being conducted by the former Director of the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.
The training aims to familiarise Indonesian professionals with recent developments in the sugar industry, focusing on improving processing efficiency, enhancing sugar quality with reduced inputs, and making better use of by-products to create value-added products.
Addressing the participants, Prof Narendra Mohan, former Director of the National Sugar Institute and Managing Director of Greentech Consultants, said that achieving sustainable sugar production requires coordinated efforts across all aspects of the industry, reported The Times of India.
