Maharashtra’s Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray inaugurated the Ethanol and Distillery plant set up at the premises of the Mula Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Limited (MSSKL).
Shankarrao Gadakh Patil, Minister of Soil was present during the inauguration programme.
The sugar mill has a crushing capacity of around 5,000 tonnes crushing per day (TCD) and more than 17,000 cane-producing members. More than 17,000 sugarcane farmers are associated with the mill and it is expected that the ethanol plant would boost the income of these farmers.
