Meerut, Uttar Pradersh: The crushing season of the Daurala sugar mill was inaugurated on Thursday. Farmer Neeraj Kumar from Daurala town, who arrived first with a tractor-trolley of sugarcane, was warmly welcomed by Madhav B. Shriram, Managing Director of the Shriram Group, with a garland, reported Amar Ujala.
Chief General Manager Sanjeev Khatiyan felicitated Dharmendra, another farmer from Daurala who brought the first cane cart, with a garland and a shawl. Chief Operating Officer Sanjay Rastogi stated that the mill’s top priority is to ensure timely payment to farmers.
Meanwhile, the crushing season of the IPL Sugar mill in Sakoti was inaugurated with Vedic rituals. Unit head Deependra Khokhar, along with farmers, public representatives, and mill officials, performed a havan and puja to mark the beginning of the season.
Khokhar informed that under the guidance of Managing Director Dr. P.S. Gehlot, weighing operations have already begun at the cane purchase centers.
