Officials confirmed that the mill is fully prepared for the upcoming crushing season, scheduled to begin on November 5, reports Amar Ujala.

A meeting was held on Monday at the Mohiuudinpur Cooperative Sugarcane Committee office, where farmers’ issues were addressed. Former MLA Jagat Singh recalled that former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh had worked extensively for farmers’ welfare, including ensuring fair prices for sugarcane.

Committee Chairman Deepak Rana said roads leading to the mill are being repaired for the convenience of farmers bringing in their crop. He added that farmers are owed about ₹29 lakh, which will be paid shortly.

The meeting was attended by District Cooperative Bank President Vimal Sharma, leader Bijendra, General Manager Mukesh Kumar Pandey, Cane Development Officer Jagdeep Gupta, along with several other officials and local representatives.

Alongside the meeting, a fair was organized at the Mohiuudinpur Sugarcane Committee premises. Through various stalls, farmers were provided information on weighing arrangements, payments, high-yield sugarcane varieties, pest management, organic farming, digital services, cooperative services, and scientific farming practices.

Farmers also reviewed the official calendars issued by the department and sugar mills, which recorded their registered cane area. Some farmers raised objections, which were resolved on the spot by officials.
