Nitin Gadkari holds bilateral meeting with Brazilian transport officials to boost ethanol economy cooperation

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari engaged in a constructive bilateral meeting with senior officials of the Brazilian Transport Ministry to strengthen cooperation on the ethanol economy. The dialogue focused on advancing flex-fuel light vehicles and enhancing logistics efficiency across key industrial and port corridors.

Sharing a post on X, The Minister of Road Transport and Highways wrote, “This collaboration marks a significant stride towards sustainable transport and green mobility, reinforcing India-Brazil ties through strategic technology exchange and policy synergy in the domains of clean energy, biofuels, and efficient transport infrastructure.”

Minister on Wednesday represented India at the BRICS Transport Ministers’ Meet in Brasilia, Brazil, articulating India’s commitment to building a sustainable, resilient, and future-ready transport infrastructure.

Emphasising India’s progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gadkari highlighted flagship initiatives such as PM GatiShakti, the National Logistics Policy, Bharatmala, and Sagarmala–programmes that reflect India’s commitment to creating an integrated and future-ready transport ecosystem that drives inclusive growth and strengthens regional connectivity.

Recently, Union Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was on a visit to Brazil to attend 15th BRICS Agriculture Ministers meeting. He held bilateral meetings with Brazil’s Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Henrique Baquetta Favero and Minister of Agricultural Development and Family Agriculture, Luiz Paulo Teixeira, where he discussed possibilities of cooperation on agricultural trade, production technology, food processing, biofuel, technological innovation and supply chain integration
