NMIMS GOONJ’26 concludes after three days of campus events

GOONJ’26, the annual flagship festival of NMIMS’ Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management, concluded on January 30 following three days of academic, cultural and sports activities that saw strong student participation and large crowds.

The festival was held from January 28 to 30 and opened with a formal ceremony attended by senior faculty members, including Prof. Seema Mahajan, Dean and Director of PDSE & FBM. The opening set the tone for the event, which featured a wide range of activities across business competitions, debates, theatre, fine arts, design, dance, music and sports. Events were held at several locations on campus, including the Mukesh Patel Auditorium, classrooms, outdoor turf areas and sports grounds, with students showcasing creativity, teamwork and competitive spirit.

Activities continued on the second day with strong participation across academic, cultural and sports events. The highlight of the day was the evening concert held at the JVPD Grounds in Juhu. Singer Sahiba Kochhar opened the programme, followed by a live performance by Gajendra Verma, which attracted a crowd of more than 6,000 students. The concert became one of the most talked-about moments of the festival.

The final day marked the conclusion of GOONJ’26 with business, academic and cultural events continuing through the day. Students took part in business case competitions, model United Nations sessions and design-based events, while the cultural programme featured a fashion show and dance performances that drew enthusiastic response from the audience. Winners across different categories were announced during the closing ceremony, which was attended by faculty members, organisers and participants.

The festival concluded on a celebratory note, with organisers saying GOONJ’26 once again highlighted NMIMS’ focus on combining learning, creativity and entertainment through a student-led campus event.
