Uttar Pradesh: Samridh Bioenergy and CEID to build India’s Next-Gen 30,000 Cum/Day CBG Plant in Moradabad

Samridh Bioenergy and Organics has held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 12 tons per day (TPD) biogas plant, a key project under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) national bioenergy programme. The plant will be set up in Hasanpur Patti village, Tehsil Bilari, Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh. CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt Ltd has been appointed as the EPC/LSTK contractor for this compressed biogas (CBG) facility.

Spanning 12 acres, the Moradabad plant will process up to 270 tons of organic waste each day, generating approximately 30,000 cubic meters of biogas daily. The facility will include four digesters equipped with a multi-feed system to accommodate a variety of organic materials such as press mud (a by-product of sugar mills), cow dung, poultry litter, vegetable waste, and other seasonal inputs. This flexibility ensures consistent, year-round operations and promotes circular economy practices by transforming agricultural and organic waste into renewable energy.

CEID Consultants, responsible for the complete design, procurement, and construction of the project, aims to commission the plant at full capacity within a year. Once operational, the plant will supply compressed biogas to Torrent Gas as part of the CBG-CGD Synchronization Scheme in partnership with GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited). The facility is being built to meet high industry standards, focusing on safety, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Key representatives from Samridh Bioenergy, including Ashu Chib and Ashwani Chib, were present at the event, alongside CEID Consultants’ team members Prince Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Abhinav Govil, Anup Maheshwari, and Veethika Singh.

Commenting on the event, Ashu Chib, Director of Samridh Bioenergy, said, “We are proud to commence this impactful project, which reflects our dedication to sustainable energy development. This 30,000 cubic meter per day biogas plant will not only enhance the region’s renewable energy footprint but also benefit the local community by turning waste into clean energy. We are excited about the positive environmental outcomes it will bring to Moradabad.”

Prince Gandhi, Founder and CEO of CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt Ltd, added, “It’s a privilege to collaborate with Samridh Bioenergy on this vital initiative. As our second project in Moradabad, we’re committed to delivering it at full capacity within 12 months. Our focus remains on creating a high-quality, large-scale biogas facility that meets the industry’s best standards. This project underscores our mission to support India’s renewable energy ambitions through advanced and sustainable solutions.”
