Indian benchmark indices closed nearly flat on February 26, with the Sensex declining 27.46 points and the Nifty rising 14.05 points.
The BSE Sensex closed at 82,248.61, while the Nifty 50 ended at 25,496.55.
Among the top Nifty gainers were Bharat Electronics, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, TCS and Maruti Suzuki, while the losers included Power Grid Corporation, Trent, Asian Paints, NTPC and Eternal.
The Indian rupee ended marginally higher at 90.91 per dollar on Wednesday, compared to the previous close of 90.95.
In the previous trading session, the Sensex had settled at 82,276.07, while the Nifty closed at 25,482.50.
