Indian benchmark indices ended on a positive note on July 30.
Sensex ended 143.91 points higher at 81,481.86, whereas Nifty concluded 33.95 points up at 24,855.05.
L&T, Tata Consumer, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Power Grid Corp, Bajaj Auto and Eternal.
Indian rupee ended 60 paise lower at 87.42 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday’s close of 86.82.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 446.93 points higher at 81,337.95, whereas Nifty concluded 140.20 points up at 24,821.10.
