Indian benchmark indices ended lower on August 12.
Sensex ended 368.48 points lower at 80,235.59, whereas Nifty concluded 97.65 points down at 24,487.40.
Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, Tech Mahindra, M&M, NTCP were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Bajaj Finance, HUL, Trent, HDFC Bank, Nestle.
Indian rupee ended marginally lower at 87.70 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 87.65.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 746.29 points higher at 80,604.08, whereas Nifty concluded 221.75 points up at 24,585.05.
