Indian equity indices ended on a positive note with Nifty nears 25,7900 on December 11.
Sensex ended 426.86 points higher at 84,818.13, whereas Nifty concluded 140.55 points up at 25,898.55.
Indian rupee ended near record low at 90.36 per dollar on Thursday versus previous close of 89.97.
Kotak Mahindra Bank, Eternal, Jio Financial, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, SBI Life Insurance, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 275.01 points lower at 84,391.27, whereas Nifty concluded 81.65 points down at 25,758.00.
