Indian equity indices ended on a strong note on July 21.
Sensex ended 442.62 points higher at 82,200.34, whereas Nifty concluded 122.30 points up at 25,090.70.
Eternal, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, HDFC Life and M&M were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were IndusInd Bank, Reliance Industries, Wipro, HCL Tech and Eicher Motors.
Indian rupee ended near day’s low at 86.29 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 86.15.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 501.52 points lower at 81,757.73, whereas Nifty concluded 143.05 points down at 24,968.40.
