Indian equity indices ended on strong note with Nifty above 25,950 on December 19.
Sensex ended 447.55 points higher at 84,929.36, whereas Nifty concluded 150.85 points up at 25,966.40.
Biggest Nifty gainers were Shriram Finance, Max Healthcare, Bharat Electronics, Power Grid Corp, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, while losers included HCL Technologies, Adani Enterprises, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Indian rupee ended 60 paise higher at 89.65 per dollar on Friday versus previous close of 90.25.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 77.84 points lower at 84,481.81, whereas Nifty concluded 3.00 points down at 25,815.55.
