Indian equity indices continued a bullish rally with Nifty closing at 25,342 on January 27.
Sensex rose 487.20 points to close at 82,344.68, whereas Nifty concluded 167.35 points up 25,342.75.
Biggest Nifty gainers were BEL, ONGC, Coal India, Eternal and Hindalco while losers included Tata Consumers, Asian Paint, Maruti, Sun Pharma and Max Health.
Indian rupee ended lower at 91.79 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close of 91.72.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 319.78 points higher at 81,857.48, whereas Nifty concluded 126.75 points up 25175.40.
