In the volatile session, the Indian equity indices ended on flat note.
Sensex ended 53.49 points lower at 82,391.72, whereas Nifty concluded 1.05 points up at 25,104.25.
Top Nifty gainers were Grasim Industries, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Infosys, while losers were Trent, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv.
Indian rupee ended flat at 85.62 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 85.63.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 256.22 points higher at 82,445.21, whereas Nifty concluded 100.15 points up at 25,103.20.
