Indian benchmark indices ended on a negative note on July 28.
Sensex ended 572.07 points lower at 80,891.02, whereas Nifty concluded 156.10 points down at 24,680.90.
Shriram Finance, Cipla, Hero MotoCorp, HUL, SBI Life were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, Wipro, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank.
Indian rupee ended 13 paise lower at 86.65 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 86.52.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 721.08 points lower at 81,463.09, whereas Nifty concluded 225.10 points down at 24,837.00.
