Indian equity indices ended lower on May 20.
Sensex ended 872.98 points down at 81,186.44, whereas Nifty concluded 261.55 points lower at 24,683.90.
Despite the broader market weakness, a few Nifty 50 stocks stood out by delivering solid gains. Coal India, Tata Steel and Hindalco Industries emerged as the top gainers among Nifty 50 stocks today.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 271.17 points down at 82,059.42, whereas Nifty concluded 74.35 points lower at 24,945.45.
