Indian benchmark indices ended marginally higher on August 14.
Sensex ended 57.75 points higher at 80,597.66, whereas Nifty concluded 11.95 points up at 24,631.30.
Wipro, Eternal, HDFC Life, Infosys, Asian Paints were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Tata Steel, Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp, Bharat Electronics.
Indian rupee ended marginally lower at 87.56 per dollar on Thursday versus Wednesday’s close of 87.49.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 304.31 points higher at 80,539.91, whereas Nifty concluded 131.95 points up at 24,619.35.
