Indian benchmark indices ended green on March 20, with the Sensex gaining 325.72 points and the Nifty rising 112.35 points.
The BSE Sensex closed at 74,532.96, while the Nifty 50 ended at 23,114.50.
Top Nifty gainers were JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, Coal India, Tata Steel and Infosys while losers included Hindalco Industries, HDFC Bank, HDFC Life, Shriram Finance, and ONGC.
The Indian rupee closed at 93.70 against the US dollar on Friday, compared with the previous close of 92.63.
In the previous trading session, the Sensex had settled at 74,207.24, while the Nifty closed at 23,002.15.
