Indian benchmark indices continued rally on March 18, with the Sensex gaining 633.29 points and the Nifty rising 196.65 points.
The BSE Sensex closed at 76,704.13, while the Nifty 50 ended at 23,777.80.
Top Nifty gainers were Jio Financial, Tech Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Eternal, HCL Technologies, while losers included Coal India, NTPC, HUL, Cipla and Sun Pharma.
The Indian rupee closed at 92.63 against the US dollar on Wednesday, compared with the previous close of 92.38.
In the previous trading session, the Sensex had settled at 76,070.84, while the Nifty closed at 23,581.15.
