Indian equity indices ended flat in the volatile session on April 30.
Sensex ended 46.14 points lower at 80,242.24, whereas Nifty concluded 1.75 points down at 24,334.20.
Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Life, Bharti Airtel, SBI Life Insurance, Power Grid Corp were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Trent, Tata Motors, SBI.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 70.01 points up at 80,288.38, whereas Nifty concluded 7.45 points up at 24,335.95.
Indian rupee ended 76 paise higher at 84.49 per dollar on Wednesday against Tuesday’s close of 85.25.
