Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane crushing season at the LH Sugar Mill began recently with traditional rituals and prayers. The ceremony included worship, a sacred fire ritual, and an aarti to mark the auspicious start of the new season, reports Live Hindustan.
Tej Narayan Singh, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the mill, performed the main rituals as the chief host. The ceremony was conducted by priests Anshuman Mishra, Manikant Mishra, and Narottam Bhatt, who chanted Vedic hymns during the proceedings.
According to the mill management, sugarcane crushing operations will formally begin on November 11. On November 6, the first indent was issued by the sugarcane purchase society after a ritual ceremony. The purchase of sugarcane at external procurement centres will start from November 9.
The event was attended by LH Sugar Mill Chairman Subodh Chandra, Director Bharat Swaroop, Ayush Agarwal, Vice-President (Finance) Y.K. Agarwal, Vice-President (Production) G.P. Goyal, Vice-President (Engineering) R.C. Mishra, Vice-President (Cane) K.B. Sharma, Vice-President (Distillery) Virendra Singh, and Factory Manager Ashish Gupta, among others.
