State government adviser and senior Congress MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy said the government is according top priority to the medical and education sectors. He noted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is placing special focus on improving health and education services for the public, particularly for economically disadvantaged families. He also announced that the renowned Nizam Sugar Factory would be reopened soon for the benefit of farmers.
Sudarshan Reddy received a grand welcome on Thursday following his appointment as a state government adviser. Congress leaders, party workers and supporters gathered at the Sai Baba Mandir in Madhavanagar to greet him before a rally was taken out in the city. TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, Nizamabad Rural MLA R. Bhupathi Reddy and other leaders attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, Sudarshan Reddy accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K.T. Rama Rao of hindering the state’s development. Meanwhile, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted Sudarshan Reddy’s significant contribution in securing Packages 21 and 22 of the Pranahita-Chevella Project for the district.
He further alleged that the previous BRS government had “poured Rs. 1,20,000 crore of public money into the Godavari” in the name of the Kaleshwaram project. Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Congress government is proud to have waived ₹21,000 crore in loans within just 15 months. He also announced that an agricultural college would soon be set up under the university. Additionally, he said a ₹350-crore road project from Karimnagar–Dharmapuri–Kondagattu–Vemulawada–Limbadri Gutta to Basar has been sanctioned, and that a new road from Karimnagar to Nizamabad will be developed soon.
He added that the state government has also approved Rs. 4 crore for the construction of a tourism guest house at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple premises in Bheemgal–Limbadri Gutta.
