70 companies, including 24 sugar mills, producing hand sanitizers in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Every state in India are taking steps to stop the spread of coronavirus infection. Uttar Pradesh government has relaxed the licensing procedure in order to meet the demand of hand sanitizers to fight against the coronavirus threat. As a result, 70 companies are preparing sanitizers in UP. These include 24 sugar mills, 10 distilleries, 28 sanitisers companies and eight other companies.

At present these companies produce 1,50,000 litre sanitizers daily. The production will increase as per demand. After the outbreak of coronavirus, around 6,70,650 litres of sanitizer has been supplied in the market so far.

Government is making every effort to promote the sanitizer industry and its production. A total of 11,32,350 litres of sanitizer has been produced in the state so far.
