85 companies including 27 sugar mills ramp up hand sanitizer production in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Coronavirus cases are increasing in India, and with this, every state in India are taking steps to stop the spread of coronavirus infection.
Hand sanitizer is playing a key role to keep coronavirus at bay. And Uttar Pradesh is leading in the production of hand sanitizer.

Uttar Pradesh government has relaxed the licensing procedure in order to meet the demand of hand sanitizers to fight against the coronavirus threat. As a result, 85 companies are preparing sanitizers in UP. These include 27 sugar mills, 12 distilleries, 37 sanitisers companies and nine other companies.

At present these companies are 2,00,000 litre sanitizers daily. After the outbreak of coronavirus, around 25,76,300 litres of sanitizer has been supplied in the market so far.

Government is making every effort to promote the sanitizer industry and its production. A total of 32,11,650 litres of sanitizer has been produced in the state so far.
