Apart from other sectors, Chhattisgarh has also given preference to ethanol production under the new industrial policy 2019-24. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel asserts that the government is committed to promote less polluting industry in the state.
While speaking to the public on Lokvani radio programme, Chief Minister said, “The government has signed MoU with 18 investors and is expected to attract investment of Rs 3300 crore in the state which would generate more than 2000 jobs.”
“We have urged the Central Government to permit us to produce ethanol using paddy and once we get the permission we would be able to use the bumper paddy output to produce ethanol in the state,” he further added.
