Efforts are on to revive Majhola sugar mill

Pilibhit: Minister of state for sugarcane development and sugar mills Sanjay Singh Gangwar is taking efforts to revive the Majhola sugar mill that has stopped operations around 1 decade ago, reports Dainik Jagran.

He recently met the chief minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami and sought his coperation in this regard. The mill, once operational, would benefit people from 111 villages from Majhola as well as farmers from 51 villages from Pilibhit.

The mill had stopped operation due to the non-availability of sugarcane for crushing from 2009-10 after the formation of the Uttarakhand state.
The minister had also met officials of the sugar federation in Delhi and asked them to take steps to ensure that the mill starts operations.
