Chhorahi: Ashok Kumar Mittal, Executive Chairman of Hasanpur Sugar Mill, assured farmers that their problems related to sugarcane cultivation would be resolved soon. He was speaking at a meeting held on Sunday in the southern Garh Bahiyar area of Rampur Kachahari village, Bihar, reports Live Hindustan.
Chittaranjan Prasad Singh, local farmer presided over the gathering.
Mittal said that the mill would work to address ongoing challenges in sugarcane production. He informed farmers that a field survey is currently underway to measure sugarcane crops in the region.
Mittal urged farmers to verify the measurements of their respective plots during the survey, warning that discrepancies in recorded acreage could delay the issuance of challans after the mill becomes operational.
He added that new machinery has been brought into the Hasanpur mill to support land preparation, sugarcane planting, stripping, and harvesting. These tools are expected to help reduce the overall cost of sugarcane production for farmers.
The meeting was also addressed by Hasanpur Sugar Mill’s Chief Engineer Tikamgarh Singh, Deputy General Manager Rama Shankar Singh, Chief Development Officer Shambhu Chaudhary, and sugarcane supervisor Vipul Kumar.
Farmers including Chandan Kumar Singh, Sudhir Singh, Sudhanshu Prasad Singh, Santosh Kumar Singh, and Ram Japo Singh were also present at the event.
