Sensex, Nifty end flat amid trade deal uncertainty

Indian equity indices ended flat in the volatile session on Monday amid India-US trade deal uncertainty.

Sensex ended 9.61 points higher at 83,442.50, whereas Nifty concluded 0.30 points up at 25,461.30.

Tech Mahindra, Bharat Electronics, UltraTech Cement, ONGC, Eternal were among major losers on the Nifty, while losers were HUL, Tata Consumer, Nestle India, Jio Financial and Eicher Motors.

Indian rupee ended 47 paise lower at 85.86 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 85.39.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 193.42 points higher at 83,432.89, whereas Nifty concluded 55.70 points up at 25,461.00.
