Indian equity indices ended on strong note on July 15.
Sensex ended 317.45 points higher at 82,570.91, whereas Nifty concluded 113.50 points up at 25,195.80.
Hero Motocorp, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto, Apollo Hospitals, Shriram Finance were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were HCL Technologies, HDFC Life, SBI Life Insurance, Eternal and Tata Steel.
Indian rupee ended 18 paise higher at 85.81 per dollar on Tuesday against Monday’s close of 85.99.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 247.01 points lower at 82,253.46, whereas Nifty concluded 67.55 points down at 25,082.30.
