Indian equity indices ended on strong note with Nifty around 25,000 on August 19.
Sensex ended 370.64 points higher at 81,644.39, whereas Nifty concluded 103.70 points up at 24,980.65.
Biggest Nifty gainers included Tata Motors, Adani Ports, Reliance Industries, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, while losers were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Finserv, M&M.
Indian rupee ended 39 paise higher at 86.96 per dollar on Tuesday against Monday’s close of 87.35.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 676.09 points higher at 81,273.75, whereas Nifty concluded 245.65 points up at 24,876.95.
