Indian equity indices ended higher on August 21.
Sensex ended 142.87 points higher at 82,000.71, whereas Nifty concluded 33.20 points up at 25,083.75.
Biggest Nifty gainers were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, SBI Life Insurance, while losers were Bajaj Auto, Coal India, Power Grid Corporation, Eternal, Tata Consumer Products.
Indian rupee ended 19 paise lower at 87.26 per dollar on Thursday versus Wednesday’s close of 87.07.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 213.45 points higher at 81,857.84, whereas Nifty concluded 69.90 points up at 25,050.55.
