Indian equity indices ended higher on August 25.
Sensex ended 329.05 points higher at 81,635.91, whereas Nifty concluded 97.65 points up at 24,967.75.
Infosys, TCS, HCL Technologies, Wipro and Hindalco Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Apollo Hospitals, Nestle India, Bharat Electronics, Adani Enterprises and SBI Life.
Indian rupee ended marginally lower at 87.58 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 87.52.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 693.86 points lower at 81,306.85, whereas Nifty concluded 213.65 points down at 24,870.10.
