Sensex ends 388 points lower, Nifty below 25,350

  • Benchmark indices ended lower on September 19 amid weakness in financial and FMCG shares, halting a winning run that lasted three trading sessions..

Sensex ended 387.73 points lower at 82,626.23, whereas Nifty concluded 96.55 points down at 25,327.05.

Biggest Nifty losers were HCL Technologies, ICICI Bank, Nestle, Titan Company, Trent, while gainers were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, SBI Life Insurance, Shriram Finance, SBI.

Indian rupee ended marginally higher at 88.10 per dollar on Friday versus Thursday’s close of 88.13.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 320.25 points higher at 83,013.96, whereas Nifty concluded 93.35 points up at 25,423.60.
