Indian equity indices ended lower on October 08.
Sensex ended 153.09 points lower at 81,773.66, whereas Nifty concluded 62.15 points down at 25,046.15.
Tata Motors, UltraTech Cement, Jio Financial, ONGC, Trent were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Titan Company, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Max Healthcare.
Indian rupee ended flat at 88.79 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close of 88.78.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 136 points higher at 81,926 whereas Nifty concluded 30 points up at 25,108.
