The Carbon Markets Association of India (CMAI) is organising the second edition of India Climate Week (ICW) 2026, India’s premier platform for climate action and green economic transformation. The event will be held from March 12–17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Rooted in the ethos of ‘प्रकृतिरेव शरणम्’ (Nature is our only refuge), ICW 2026 draws inspiration from the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. The India Climate Week 2026 seeks to position India as a global hub for carbon markets, climate finance and clean technology deployment and will drive the decarbonisation agenda for the World.
The event is supported by key Government of India institutions, including the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Ministry of Power (MoP), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), and the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA), providing strong policy and institutional anchoring.
India Climate Week 2026 is a five-day strategic programme designed specifically for industry, structured to move from on-the-ground experience to capacity building and, finally, to policy and market shaping. The first day, March 12, is dedicated to curated site visits, giving delegates direct exposure to on-ground climate action and real-world project implementation.
The second and third days focus on intensive workshops and capacity building, equipping industry leaders to leverage carbon markets and climate finance mechanisms effectively. The fourth and fifth days will feature high-level policy dialogues and industry roundtables on Article 6, global climate cooperation, voluntary and compliance carbon markets, climate finance, and the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors — ensuring that the programme delivers not just conversations, but scalable, market-ready climate solutions.
