Agitation continues at sugar mill for Diwali bonus

Deoband: The sit-in agitation of workers from Triveni group’s sugar mill continued on the fourth day for the demand for bonus not less than Rs 16800. The mill has shown this as profit in its balance sheet. Five of the seven mills of Triveni Group were given a bonus at the rate of 20 per cent, i.e. Rs 16800, but the Deoband unit is adamant on 8.33 per cent bonus. We will not tolerate this discrimination and will continue our agitation till we Don’t get a 20 per cent bonus.

Workers in Deoband unit accused management of doing discrimination amongst the workers.
