Al Khaleej Sugar Co. (AKS), a Dubai based company, plans to invest US$2 billion (Rp 25.55 trillion) to set up a sugar factory and supporting facilities in Indonesia that would help the country to bridge supply gap in the commodity.
According to the news report published in Thejakartapost.com, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, industry Minister said that Jamal Al-Ghurair, managing director, AKS had assured to invest in the country during the meeting conducted between them on November 2.
