Andhra Pradesh: Politicians demand revival of Bheemasingi sugar mill

Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh: Political leaders from various parties have urged the government to revive the closed Bheemasingi sugar factory for the betterment of the sugarcane farmers in the region.

An all-party meeting was held in the factory premises to discuss the plight of the people associated with the sugar mill during which they appealed to the government to release funds to modernize the factory.

According to the news report published in thehansindia.com, M Kameswara Rao, State committee member of CPI, said, the lack of commitment from the government side has led to the worsening situation of the mill and the government should sanction funds to renovate the sugar factory.

Bheesetti Babjee, State working president of the Lok Satta Party said, the sugarcane farmers from the region are eagerly waiting for the reopening of the sugar mill.

The delegation of the leaders later met Victor Raju, Managing director of the unit and submitted a memorandum of demands urging him to take serious efforts to revive the sugar mill.
