Banda: The administration has decided to distribute sugar at a rate of Rs 18 per kg to the antyodaya card holders for three months. This will help poor people to celebrate the festival with enthusiasm, said officials. Every family holding the antyodaya card will get one kg of sugar for three months.
The distribution of sugar at ration shops was supposed to begin in January but due to lack of availability, it could not be done in the last two months. Now the administration will distribute sugar for previous months from March.
There are around 48,348 antyodaya ration card holders in the district and distribution of sugar to these card holders will begin soon.
