Sugarcane farmers urged to register on GRAINS website

Coimbatore: The agriculture department of the state is organizing a second round of special camps in the district to register the sugarcane farmers as well as other farmers to help them to register on the Grower Online Registration of Agricultural Input System (GRAINS), reports The Times of India.

The registration began on April 1 but only 38,690 (6%) landowners out of 6, 46,840 patta owners in the district have registered on the portal so far.
