Assembly polls in Maharashtra, Haryana on 21st October; Result on 24th October

New Delhi: The Election Commission (EC) has announced the dates for the upcoming election in Maharashtra and Haryana. According to the EC, states will go for poll on October 21, 2019.

Election Commission chief Sunil Arora announced that the results would be declared on October 24, 2019.

Arora informed in the press conference, the process for filing nomination would begin on September 27 and end on October 4.

Poll expenses per candidate are capped at Rs 28 lakh. The poll panel has deployed special security force for the Naxal affected area — Gadchiroli and Gondia in Maharashtra.
