Australian sugar industry sees La Nina with concern

More than 30 per cent crop is pending for harvesting, therefore the Australian sugar industry is concerned about rain bringing La Nina weather system.

According to the media report, Jim Crane of Australian Sugar Milling Council said, “La Nina weather pattern increases the risk of rain disrupting the crushing in the final weeks. The light rain influenced with L Nina would be manageable, but if there is heavy rainfall, then we have to face the challenge.”
